In case you missed it, we originally launched DBAP at the end of 2022. We didn’t know what to expect but it sold out in just a few days! Since then, we’ve been gathering feedback on the product from retailers, customers, and our loyal demo crew affiliates to see what we can do to make it even better.

After working on this formula throughout 2024, we are finally ready to reveal the new and improved DBAP! But that's not all, we've got our second release of clothing for the year, including new tees, seth cuts, hats, and more!

DBAP Formula Breakdown

If you’re an avid DBAP consumer, you know that this product is known for being loaded with stimulants, specifically caffeine, so that’s the first thing we want to highlight!

DBAP contains a hefty energy-enhancing matrix totaling 550 milligrams. Instead of just using caffeine, we added TeaCrine® and Dynamine™ to deliver long-lasting and hard-hitting energy without the crash or jitters.

Here’s a deeper look at how these three ingredients work together to deliver unmatched energy…

The Energy Matrix - Caffeine, TeaCrine® and Dynamine™

Caffeine anhydrous is a dehydrated form of caffeine that’s more concentrated and fast-acting than natural caffeine in coffee or tea. Caffeine rapidly increases alertness, reduces fatigue, and improves concentration by blocking brain adenosine receptors. Adenosine is a neurotransmitter that promotes sleep and relaxation.

Although caffeine has been studied rigorously and shown to be extremely effective and safe, there are some downsides to taking a large amount of caffeine on its own including jitters, increased heart rate and blood pressure, anxiety, and more.

With that being said, most healthy adults are safe to consume up to 400 milligrams of caffeine per day. This upper end will enable you to reap all the benefits of caffeine without the side effects.

The biggest issue with just consuming caffeine is the high likelihood of developing a tolerance to it. In other words, if you consume a large amount of caffeine every day for an extended period its effects start to dwindle. Therefore, you have to consume more of it to get the same effects.

What’s more, consuming just caffeine can lead to a big spike followed by a crash which is exactly what we can avoid with the addition of TeaCrine® and Dynamine™.

TeaCrine® - Caffeine’s Long-Lasting Sidekick

TeaCrine®, also known as Theacrine, is a naturally occurring compound present in some specific plants, such as tea leaves. It shares a similar chemical structure to caffeine but has distinct properties that set it apart in a good way!

Thanks to its unique mechanisms of action, TeaCrine® can enhance caffeine’s effects. Like caffeine, TeaCrine® blocks adenosine leading to increased energy, alertness, and focus. However, TeaCrine®’s effects last much longer. For example, TeaCrine®’s half-life is 4-8 hours, whereas caffeine’s half-life is 1-2 hours. So as the effects of caffeine are starting to fade, TeaCrine® is right there to sustain your energy levels.

Another key benefit of TeaCrine® is its ability to boost dopamine and serotonin levels in the brain, leading to improvements in mood, motivation, and focus. TeaCrine® also has been shown to improve performance by reducing the perceived effort during exercise, especially in activities that require a lot of endurance and stamina.

Lastly, TeaCrine® can reduce caffeine tolerance so DBAP hits hard every single time. Unlike caffeine, TeaCrine® doesn’t have an impact on the cardiovascular system so it has little to no effect on blood pressure or heart rate.

Now that you know what TeaCrine® is and how it works well with caffeine, let’s introduce you to Dynamine™!

Dynamine™ - Fast-Acting and High-Impact

Dynamine™, also known as methylliberine, is a naturally occurring purine alkaloid closely related to caffeine and theacrine. Not only is the Dynamine™ chemical structure similar to caffeine and theacrine, but it also shares several of the same mechanisms of action.

That being said, some slight differences truly set it apart from the two.

One major thing that sets Dynamine™ apart is its fast onset, taking only 15-30 minutes to feel its effects. But unlike caffeine, its effects are often described as smoother and long-lasting. Much like theacrine, Dynamine™ doesn’t have the same tolerance build-up as caffeine so it’s unlikely that you’ll have to increase the dose over time to feel the same effects.

Similar to TeaCrine®, Dynamine™ increases dopamine levels in the brain; therefore it can further elevate mood, motivation, and focus without the crash associated with other stimulants.

In summary, the combination of Caffeine, TeaCrine®, and Dynamine™ will result in a more well-rounded and balanced stimulatory experience. Instead of getting a huge rise and fall in energy levels, you will be presented with a hard-hitting boost that extends long after your workout is done!

Stimulants aren’t the only thing DBAP contains, here’s an overview of the rest of the formula…

Beta Alanine - 3.2 Grams

Every scoop of DBAP contains 3.2 grams of beta alanine, a non-essential amino acid that plays a crucial role in improving athletic performance, specifically endurance. Within the body, beta alanine joins forces with histidine to form carnosine, a dipeptide molecule that helps buffer lactic acid in the muscles.

Lactic acid is one of the main metabolites that’s responsible for muscular fatigue and the burning sensation that occurs from intense physical exertion. By increasing carnosine levels, more of this lactic acid can be buffered, resulting in extended exercise performance and reduced soreness.

It’s important to note that one of the most common side effects of beta alanine supplementation is a condition called paraesthesia which is a tingling or itching sensation, often felt on the skin, especially on the face, neck, or hands. This is harmless and typically occurs at higher doses, particularly with doses over 800 milligrams. The sensation is temporary and disappears once the beta alanine dose wears off.

Betaine Anhydrous - 2.5 Grams

The next performance-enhancing ingredient in DBAP is betaine anhydrous at 2.5 grams per serving. Betaine anhydrous, also known as trimethylglycine, is a naturally occurring compound that offers numerous athletic performance and health benefits.

Betaine anhydrous has several mechanisms of action including its role in methylation, creatine synthesis, cellular health, and osmotic balance. Most notably, betaine supplementation has been found to increase strength, power output, body composition, endurance, and cardiovascular health.

These benefits are attributed to betaine’s ability to increase creatine levels (improving energy stores), enhance muscle cellular hydration, and reduce the onset of fatigue.

L-Tyrosine - 1.5 Grams

L-tyrosine is a naturally occurring non-essential amino acid that is important for the production of several key neurotransmitters in the brain including dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine (or adrenaline).

These neurotransmitters are involved in numerous processes such as mood regulation, cognitive function, stress response, energy metabolism, and focus and attention.

Since the body uses L-tyrosine to produce these neurotransmitters, supplementing with it, especially during times of high stress, can significantly improve cognitive and physical performance as well as memory, mood, focus, and alertness.

Although L-tyrosine is a non-essential amino acid, meaning your body can synthesize it under high-stress circumstances, it can be challenging for the body to keep up with the demand. Thus, consuming additional L-tyrosine before stressful events is beneficial.

Theobromine - 50mg

Theobromine is a naturally occurring compound that belongs to the class of methylxanthines which also includes caffeine and theophylline. It is found in various plants, most notably in cocoa beans; thus it is a key ingredient in chocolate. Theobromine has a similar chemical structure to caffeine but has different physiological effects.

Theobromine has four primary mechanisms of action:

  1. Adenosine receptor blocker - Like caffeine, theobromine blocks adenosine receptors in the brain. Adenosine is a neurotransmitter that promotes relaxation and sleepiness, so blocking its action can lead to increased alertness and reduced fatigue.

  2. Phosphodiesterase Inhibition - Theobromine inhibits phosphodiesterase (PDE) enzymes which results in increased levels of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) in cells. This helps relax smooth muscle and improve blood flow, particularly in the coronary arteries.

  3. Vasodilator - Theobromine acts as a vasodilator, meaning it relaxes blood vessels which improves circulation and oxygen delivery to tissues. This contributes to better cardiovascular health and performance.

  4. Mild Stimulant - Theobromine has stimulant properties but it is much milder than caffeine. It has a long-lasting and more gentle effect due to its slower metabolism in the body.

Gamma-Butyrobetaine HCl (GBB) - 30mg

Gamma-butyrobetaine HCl is a naturally occurring molecule that helps increase L-carnitine levels in the body. L-carnitine is a compound that’s required for fatty acid oxidation. It helps transport fatty acids into the mitochondria of the cell to be converted into energy as Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP). 

A common side effect of GBB is increased sweating so if you start to get more sweaty than normal, GBB is to blame! This is just one of the ingredients that makes DBAP a thermogenic!

Electrolytes - Sodium and Potassium

To round out the new DBAP formula, we added 200 milligrams of sodium (as sodium citrate) and 100 milligrams of potassium (as potassium chloride). These two minerals are essential for proper nerve and muscle function. Being dehydrated before a workout can negatively affect energy levels, pumps, and performance.

Not to mention, an insignificant amount of electrolytes may cause headaches and muscle cramps. It’s very important to drink plenty of water before, during, and after exercise. However, ensuring you're consuming enough electrolytes is the key to proper hydration.

Two New Mouthwatering Flavors!

Not only does DBAP hit hard, it tastes delicious and we have two brand new flavors that we’re excited to share…

The name says it all… sour skyburst is like an explosion of fruity, tangy, and tart flavors combined into one mouthwatering experience! This sour rainbow candy flavor profile is both nostalgic and addicting. Taste the DBAP!

Blue raspberry lemonade has a refreshing, smooth, and vibrant flavor profile. It combines the tartness of lemonade with the sweet and slightly tangy flavor of blue raspberry. These two flavors complement each other so well, that we couldn’t resist launching this incredible combination!

Suggested Use

Mix one scoop of DBAP with 8-10 ounces of cold water. For optimal results, consume 15-20 minutes before training. New users should start with ½ scoop to assess tolerance. Don’t take DBAP with any other products that contain stimulants. Don’t take DBAP within 6-8 hours before sleep.
