At a high level, dieting is pretty straightforward. To lose fat a caloric deficit is required, simply put, you have to burn more calories than you consume for an extended period. This is usually achieved through manipulating nutrition and training.

Although losing body fat isn’t complicated, it doesn’t mean that it's easy. Being in a caloric deficit can lead to increased hunger and cravings, and decreased mood, energy, performance, and recovery. After a certain amount of time, your body will inevitably hit a plateau due to adaptation. This usually occurs when the metabolism starts to slow down to preserve energy.

Proper nutrition, sleep, training, and hydration are of utmost importance when it comes to body recomposition. Some supplements can help combat the side effects that come from attempting to drop body fat.

One of the most popular categories in the supplement industry is weight management and for a good reason. There are a host of effective ingredients that can promote weight loss through increasing energy, mood, focus, metabolism, and thermogenesis while lowering appetite.

We’ve taken some of the most effective ingredients on the market and used them to reformulate FYRED, our capsule-based thermogenic. What’s more, FYRED V2 has a new look and now uses clear veggie capsules for easier digestion.

FYRED V2 Ingredient Breakdown

One serving, three capsules, of FYRED V2 contains the following ingredients:

Acetyl-L-Carnitine - 500mg

The first ingredient in FYRED V2 is acetyl-L-carnitine, also known as ALCAR, a naturally occurring compound derived from the amino acids lysine and methionine. In general, L-carnitine is essential for the metabolism of fatty acids. It’s responsible for transporting them into the mitochondria, the powerhouse of the cell, where they convert into energy.

There are various forms of supplemental carnitine on the market, but we chose ALCAR due to its host of benefits. Supplementing with ALCAR may enhance cognitive function, energy production, mood, and metabolism. It also possesses strong antioxidant properties. Taking ALCAR before resistance training or cardio may improve athletic performance by increasing energy availability.

When dieting, focus, mood, energy, and attention are often comprised due to caloric restriction, so taking ALCAR may combat these side effects.

L-Tyrosine - 500mg

To further enhance your focus, we added 500 milligrams of L-tyrosine, a naturally occurring amino acid. L-tyrosine takes on numerous physiological roles, but it’s most well known for being a precursor to several neurotransmitters including:

• Dopamine
• Norepinephrine
• Epinephrine

These three neurotransmitters are important for cognitive function, alertness, mood regulation, and stress response. During periods of stress or high cognitive demand, such as caloric restriction and exercise, the body’s demand for these neurotransmitters increases.

Supplementing with L-tyrosine during times of stress can support the production of these neurotransmitters, helping individuals cope with stress, stay alert, delay fatigue, sustain focus, and improve overall exercise capacity.

L-tyrosine is also a component of thyroxine (T3) and triiodothyronine (T4), the two major hormones produced by the thyroid gland. These hormones affect nearly every cell in the body and control the rate at which carbohydrates and fats are utilized by the body. Without a properly functioning thyroid, it’s going to be very challenging to lose fat or build muscle.

Innoslim® - 250mg

The first trademarked ingredient in FYRED V2 is Innoslim® from Nuliv Science. Innoslim® is a proprietary blend of Panax notoginseng and Astragalus membranaceous. This cutting-edge ingredient supports weight management and metabolic health through a variety of mechanisms including:

• Glucose metabolism: may help regulate blood glucose levels by improving insulin sensitivity and glucose uptake; thus, reducing the spikes and crashes in blood sugar levels.
• Fat metabolism: may support fat metabolism by aiding in the breakdown and utilization of fat stores for energy production.
• Appetite regulation: may suppress appetite.

More research is needed, but it’s probably that Innoslim® works through the adiponectin and amp-activated protein kinase (AMPK) signaling pathways. Adiponectin is secreted by fat tissue and is involved in the regulation of glucose levels and fatty acid breakdown.

Caffeine Anhydrous and Extended Release Caffeine (zümXR®) - 200mg total

Fyred V2 contains a total of 200 milligrams of caffeine per serving from a combination of caffeine anhydrous and zümXR®. Caffeine anhydrous is the fastest-acting form of caffeine on the market, expressing its effects just 15-30 minutes after consumption. However, the effects of caffeine usually peak around 60 minutes after consumption.

To prevent the dreaded crash, anxiety, and jitters that often come with consuming caffeine, we paired caffeine anhydrous with zümXR®. This patented technology provides a sustained and controlled release of caffeine over an extended period. It offers prolonged energy and alertness without the sudden peak and crash associated with regular caffeine consumption

Even though 200 milligrams of caffeine may not seem like much, this smooth and steady release of caffeine will help you stay energized, productive, focused, and alert!

Theobromine - 100mg

Theobromine is a bitter alkaloid found in various plants, most notably cocoa beans and tea leaves. Similar to caffeine, theobromine acts as a central nervous system stimulant. However, its effects are milder and longer lasting. It has the potential to increase alertness and heart rate, but typically to a much lesser extent than caffeine.

Theobromine may also boost mood via increasing levels of dopamine and serotonin in the brain and improve blood flow thanks to its vasodilating properties. Rather than loading up on caffeine, it’s a good idea to use various combinations of stimulants for smoother and longer-lasting energy, which is exactly what we did with FYRED V2!

Capsimax® (Capsicum Annuum) -  75mg

The second patented ingredient in FYRED V2 is Capsimax® from OmniActive Health Technologies. Capsimax® is a red chili pepper extract that delivers an effective amount of capsaicinoids without gastrointestinal distress. Capsaicinoids are responsible for the spicy taste associated with chili peppers, but they are also attributed to a variety of health benefits.

Supplementing with Capsimax® while dieting may:

• Enhance metabolism by boosting thermogenesis, resulting in increased caloric expenditure
• Support the breakdown of stored fat and conversion into energy
• Suppress appetite and cravings
• Improve exercise performance

The biggest advantage of taking Capsimax® is that it uses a beaded encapsulation, so it won’t cause any stomach distress that’s usually associated with pepper consumption. This also results in a much more effective delivery system of the ingredient into the small intestine.

Advantra Z® - 50mg

The third and final patented ingredient in FYRED V2 is Advantra Z®, a Citrus aurantium, bitter orange fruit extract. Advantra Z® is standardized to contain 50% synephrine, the primary biologically active constituent attributed to its benefits.

Synephrine may increase metabolism, thermogenesis energy, fat oxidation, and exercise performance. It's an appetite suppressant, which in turn will improve adherence to a calorie-restricted diet.

Similar to caffeine and tyrosine, Advantra Z® can stimulate the release of norepinephrine and epinephrine, two neurotransmitters associated with alertness, energy, and focus. This is another reason why we stuck to a lower amount of total caffeine because several other ingredients within FYRED V2 boost energy levels.

Yohimbine HCL and Alpha-Yohimbine HCL - 3mg Total

FYRED V2 is meant to be a high-energy thermogenic, so to kick things up a notch from the previous version we added yohimbine and alpha-yohimbine. Yohimbine is a natural alkaloid derived from the bark of the Pausinystalia yohimbe tree.

Alpha-yohimbine, also known as rauwolscine, is structurally similar to yohimbine, but it’s considerably more potent. That’s why we chose to use 2mg of yohimbine and 1mg of alpha-yohimbine.

These two compounds have several physiological effects. They are most well- known for their ability to promote fat loss by blocking alpha2-adrenergic receptors resulting in increased fat breakdown and mobilization.

Some evidence suggests that they also have the potential to boost athletic performance by raising energy levels, reducing fatigue, and enhancing endurance. Lastly, they may reduce appetite, which will help individuals stick to their caloric deficit.

Suggested Use

Take 3 capsules 20-30 minutes before training or cardio for optimal results. New users should start with 1-2 capsules to assess tolerance. Do not use any other products that contain stimulants. Do not use it within 5-6 hours of sleep.
